Dena brings over 28 years' experience. 

Dena Reeves is a Registered Nurse with more than 28 years’ experience of which 22 years were concentrated in case management and utilization management. For over 10 years, Dena helped guide organizations preparing for NCQA Health Plan and Case Management Accreditations. Her areas of expertise include: case management, utilization management, population health management, and quality improvement. Dena joined Managed Healthcare Resources in 2022 as a Healthcare Consultant.

Dena held various roles across healthcare management including: Manager of Utilization Management, Manager of High-Risk Maternity/ NICU programs, and Director of Health Services while at UnitedHealthcare Community Plans in Maryland and in the District of Columbia. She was accountable for meeting regulatory requirements and achieving NCQA accreditation. She also led program redesign projects for case management programs, and successfully implemented healthcare management strategies to achieve utilization metrics, HEDIS targets, and quality goals.

Dena has provided accreditation and certification preparation services for numerous organizational accreditation surveys since 2012. She has gained a reputation as an expert in NCQA Utilization Management, Case Management, and Health Plan Accreditation standards, resulting in high file reviews and levels of accreditation.

As a healthcare consultant, she has been instrumental in leading organizations to improve through best practice program implementation, quality improvement, project management, staff training, and NCQA accreditation.

Dena holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University.

Dena lives in Pottstown, PA with her husband and is a proud mother of two and grandmother of three. She is active in her church and community and enjoys music and gardening.
