Vincent Van Gogh, the famous artist, is quoted as saying:Â
Great things do not just happen by impulse but as a succession of small things linked together.
Like a painting, NCQA can be perceived as a series of Standards, Elements, and Factors that, when skillfully linked together, can produce high-quality healthcare outcomes that drive customer loyalty and exceptional satisfaction.
Does your organization have the resources to skillfully link the pieces of NCQA Accreditation together?
Are links maintained to ensure business continuity?
How can your processes for business continuity be improved?
Most of us are familiar with business continuity procedures when disruptions in IT systems or power outages occur. But are you prepared when you lose a subject matter expert (SME) for NCQA, an accreditation leader, or an analyst who knows the depths of your IT systems? Â
MHR has repeatedly stepped in to fill the gaps in those unexpected occurrences where business continuity procedures were lacking, most notably knowing the intricacies behind critical data sources and calculations used for NCQA reporting.
Make it one of your organization’s year-end goals to ensure your “house is in order” by creating comprehensive data collection guides so that new teams can replicate analyses without a struggle during staff turnovers.
You can expect a return on investment as your organization improves efficiency and mitigates risk because of inconsistency.
Tools and Templates
Intense data collection needs are present in most standard sets, such as member experience, network availability, population health, continuity and coordination of care, and utilization management inter-rater reliability.Â
Our Data Collection and Methodology Guides include sections where the organization personalizes its methodology on data collection, when performance measures are collected, descriptions of calculations including numerators and denominators, data tables, committee oversight, business owners, and more.
Don’t procrastinate when establishing your business continuity procedures. Once that knowledge departs from your organization, it’s challenging to replicate, resulting in wasted time.
Our tools for Data Collection are available for clients and non-clients to purchase. Ask your MHR Consultant or email us.
